CAD Designer (Marine Manufacturing)

Location: Merritt Island, Florida, United States; onsite role.

Salary: $54,300–$75,400 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Plan, lay out, and develop engineering drawings and documentation supporting the manufacture, assembly, and testing of marine products from concept to final configuration.
• Create 3-D models, build drawings, bills of materials, process sheets, and other engineering documentation.
• Participate directly in prototype development, documentation, and testing for new products.
• Support program BOMs, budget projections, drawing and BOM reviews, and implementation of Engineering Change Notices.
• Track documentation completion and provide weekly status updates to Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Prototype, and other departments.
• Create electronics part catalogs, maintain documentation load plans for new models, and communicate with internal and external customers.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of CAD drafting and documentation experience.
• CAD experience with NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, or AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with PC-based tools, particularly Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, AS-400, and general web-based applications.
• Ability to complete scheduled documentation tasks accurately and on time while meeting engineering and business standards.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, and sit; occasionally handle objects, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in CAD Drafting, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 3-D CAD modeling experience.
