CAD Designer (Marine)

Location: Merritt Island, Florida, United States; onsite

Salary: $54,300–$75,400 annually, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Plan, lay out, and develop engineering drawings and documentation supporting the manufacture, assembly, and testing of marine products.
• Develop 3-D models, build drawings, process sheets, bills of materials, and electronics part catalogs.
• Participate in prototype development, documentation, and testing for new products.
• Review engineering drawings and BOMs for accuracy and support program budgets and documentation load plans.
• Implement engineering change notices and track documentation completion through release.
• Coordinate documentation status with Development Engineering, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Prototype, and other departments.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of CAD drafting and documentation experience.
• Associate degree in CAD Drafting, Engineering, or an equivalent field preferred.
• Experience with CAD tools such as NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, Pro-E, or AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with PC-based tools, including Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, AS-400, and web applications.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and work around moving mechanical parts, heights, fumes, and chemicals.

Nice to have

• 3-D CAD modeling experience.
