Project Manager, Financial Benefits

Location: Remote - U.S.A.

Salary: $98,000–$122,000 per year in the NYC-metro area; $92,000–$114,000 per year outside the NYC-metro area.

What you will do

• Create and manage projects for the 401(k) MEP benefit and Benefits Billing, including audits, documentation, year-end processes, nondiscrimination testing, reconciliation automation, and new benefit billing onboarding and integration.
• Lead the analytical work for major projects, evaluate existing processes, and implement solutions to reduce manual procedures.
• Coordinate process documentation across Benefits and collaborate with Retirement, Benefits Billing, Product and Engineering, Internal Audit, Finance, auditors, partners, fiduciaries, government agencies, employer groups, and individuals.
• Optimize 401(k) MEP and Benefits Billing operations based on user feedback, regulatory changes, and technology advancements.
• Manage compliance, customer risk, contributions, payroll information, reconciliation, customer communications, and operational performance reporting.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in operations or project management.
• Retirement experience and prior project management experience are required; PMP certification is preferred.
• Retirement Plan Fundamentals (RPF) certification or equivalent is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting, hosting meetings, training, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Technological proficiency with multiple systems and software programs.
• Familiarity with business process management, including process mapping, improvement, and implementation.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, independence, attention to detail, analytical reasoning, judgment, ethical practice, and clear communication.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI programs and automation applications.
• Experience working with PEOs.
• Knowledge of benefits billing.
