Senior Litigation Attorney (Insurance Defense) - NJ & PA - Hybrid

Location: Remote anywhere in the United States, except Hawaii and Alaska; must live in New Jersey or Pennsylvania and maintain active licenses in both states. The role includes travel for arbitrations, trials, team meetings, and other in-person events.

Salary: $152,010–$202,550 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus of up to 12% of eligible pay.

What you will do

• Manage a full inventory of complex and high-value litigated insurance-defense files with minimal oversight.
• Handle personal injury litigation through investigation, discovery, motions, arbitration hearings, and jury trials.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery materials, trial documents, and other legal work in coordination with claims specialists.
• Appear and advocate for hirify.global and its insured members.
• Advise on legal issues affecting insurance and motor club operations, including matters outside litigation.
• Mentor less senior attorneys and collaborate with paralegals and support staff.

Requirements

• Must live in New Jersey or Pennsylvania and be actively licensed and in good standing with both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bars.
• 10–12+ years of insurance-defense experience with substantial courtroom and first-chair trial experience.
• Juris Doctorate.
• Proficiency in personal injury litigation, including liability, causation, damages, coverage, and the tripartite relationship.
• Strong negotiation, communication, advocacy, analytical, legal, and independent judgment skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a complex case inventory efficiently.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online research tools.
• Knowledge and appreciation of legal ethics.
• Must have indefinite authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

• Practical experience with generative AI, AI-powered research and decision-support tools, and emerging technologies for legal workflows.
• Experience mentoring employees, supporting employee resource groups, volunteering, or joining cross-functional projects.
• Ability to travel as needed for divisional, team, and other in-person meetings.
