Senior Manager of Planning Systems

Location: US - Remote; compensation range is specified for US-based candidates

Salary: $175K–$200K annually, plus potential equity compensation.

What you will do

• Lead, hire, and develop 1–2 analysts supporting finance transformation across planning systems, consolidation, and executive reporting.
• Own the consolidated planning and reporting engine for annual operating plans, long-range plans, and monthly and quarterly forecasts.
• Serve as functional and technical owner of the EPM platform, including evaluation, design, implementation, administration, enhancement, and enablement.
• Own the planning systems roadmap, governance, change management, prioritization, and communication with Finance leadership.
• Design integrations between the planning platform, ERP, data warehouse, and BI stack with Accounting, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics.
• Support executive and Board reporting, standardize finance inputs, and establish controls, data governance, and documentation.

Requirements

• B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience across strategic finance/FP&A and finance systems or finance transformation, including 2+ years managing or formally developing analysts.
• Strong command of P&L mechanics, budgeting, forecasting, and company-wide planning-cycle consolidation.
• Hands-on experience implementing, administering, or owning an EPM/planning platform such as Anaplan, Pigment, Adaptive, Planful, or similar, including model design and integrations.
• Demonstrated success leading a finance transformation initiative end-to-end and scaling planning systems and automated reporting.
• Ability to manipulate large datasets and produce clear, structured, decision-ready outputs.
• Strong project management, delegation, organization, communication, and ability to work through ambiguity and change.
• Track record of using AI and automation to improve finance workflows.

Nice to have

• SQL proficiency and experience with BI tools, including Looker.
• NetSuite or similar ERP integration experience.
• Experience at a high-growth public company, recent IPO, or late-stage Series C+ startup.
• Exposure to public-company Board, Audit Committee, earnings, or guidance reporting.
