Senior Manager, Quality Engineering Platform (AI)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States; hybrid with three days in-office and two days virtual

What you will do

• Set the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the Quality Engineering Platform, including quality capabilities for AI-generated code.
• Lead and grow the Quality Engineering Platform teams, including early-career engineers, in partnership with the Principal Engineer and Delivery Manager.
• Build automated test generation, pre-merge quality checks, and measures of whether AI tools improve engineering outcomes.
• Drive adoption across hirify.global engineering teams and improve testing speed, release confidence, and client-facing defect rates.
• Partner with DevSecOps, Developer Experience, observability, and AI platform teams to embed quality from first commit through production.
• Own the operating model, including priorities, budget, tools, vendors, service levels, and metrics reported to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading software engineering teams, including through managers or technical leads.
• Experience owning a platform or product end to end, including strategy, roadmap, delivery, and user adoption.
• Deep hands-on understanding of test automation, CI/CD, and modern quality practices.
• Practical experience with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code, with a clear perspective on their impact on testing and quality.
• Ability to define and use quality metrics such as escaped defects, release frequency, recovery time, and test reliability.
• Confident communication with senior stakeholders and experience influencing teams without direct management authority.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
• Experience building or adopting AI-driven testing, including generated tests, self-healing tests, or evaluation of AI agent output.
• Experience operating an internal platform as a product, including user research, adoption metrics, and internal customer support.
• Experience building teams that include early-career engineers or college hire programs.
• Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, k6, or Selenium at enterprise scale.
