Senior Manager, Software Engineering (AI/ML)

Location: ISD Office - DGTC AR Bentonville Home Office, Bentonville, Arkansas, United States; onsite role.

Annual salary: $110,000–$220,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems in alignment with domain priorities and roadmap milestones.
• Oversee shared infrastructure, tooling, and reusable frameworks for scalable and secure development.
• Drive the full software development lifecycle across multiple teams and promote DevOps architecture and continuous improvement.
• Manage cloud cost optimization, automation, telemetry, and tooling to reduce operational friction.
• Guide architectural decisions, maintain technical quality and compliance standards, and deliver scalable, highly available systems.
• Mentor engineers, collaborate with stakeholders, define priorities, track milestones, and deliver complex initiatives.

Requirements

• Either a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area plus 5 years of software engineering or related experience; or 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Extensive experience leading platform engineering and software development lifecycle execution across multiple teams.
• Expertise in DevOps architecture, CI/CD practices, and cloud-native platform design.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills, including alignment with strategic roadmaps and milestones.
• Demonstrated ability to drive technical execution, operational delivery, system scalability, and high availability.
• Proficiency in AI/ML integration and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to mentor and develop engineering talent, promote technical quality and continuous improvement, and adapt to evolving technologies and complex architectures.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area plus 3 years of software engineering or related experience.
• Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and implementing WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
