Senior Manager, Engineering - Software & Data Platforms (AI)

What you will do

• Lead multiple engineering teams or a broad product portfolio delivering and operating reliable, customer-facing software and platforms.
• Shape engineering priorities and roadmaps with senior product and business partners, balancing customer needs, investment, capacity, dependencies, and measurable outcomes.
• Identify gaps in the software development lifecycle, developer tools, data platforms, and cloud deployments, then develop and execute strategies to improve developer experience.
• Evaluate and scale AI, machine learning, and automation solutions with appropriate privacy, security, quality, risk, and human oversight.
• Improve engineering practices through CI/CD, automated testing, cloud operations, architecture standards, reliability, security, maintainability, and technical-debt management.
• Coach engineering managers, technical leaders, and teams while communicating progress, risks, decisions, and tradeoffs across engineering, product, security, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant experience designing, delivering, and operating complex software products or platforms, including technical direction and production accountability.
• Experience leading multiple engineering teams or a broad product or platform area with accountability for outcomes across teams.
• Experience coaching engineering managers or technical leaders, developing talent, and building organizational capability beyond an individual team.
• Ability to shape roadmaps and make tradeoffs across priorities, capacity, investment, and dependencies with senior product and business partners.
• Experience evaluating AI, machine learning, or automation opportunities and guiding solutions from testing into sustained use with attention to measurable value, quality, security, privacy, and operations.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms, CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, reliability, and technical-debt management.
• Experience guiding teams across application and distributed-system technologies such as .NET, web, or mobile platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience leading teams working on multi-tiered distributed platforms and relational database design.
• Familiarity with enterprise security best practices, compliance standards, and risk mitigation.
• Experience driving innovation through hackathons, proof-of-concept initiatives, and rapid prototyping.
• Experience with modern cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP; AI-driven automation; and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
