Area Manager (Short-Term Rentals)

Location: On-site in Sonoma, California, United States, with daily travel to properties throughout the designated market.

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year plus performance bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Supervise, hire, train, coach, evaluate, and assign work to guest-facing, owner-facing, maintenance, housekeeping, and field operations staff.
• Build owner relationships, communicate property status, review owner distribution statements, and maintain owner satisfaction standards.
• Oversee guest and homeowner issues, escalations, and resolution quality within required time frames.
• Coordinate housekeeping, routine maintenance, groundskeeping, property inspections, inventory, consumables, and linens across the market.
• Support daily administration, respond to communications and tickets, and coordinate cross-functional operations.
• Travel daily between properties and participate in rotating after-hours on-call market support.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of property management experience, ideally across multiple sites and decentralized teams.
• At least 1 year of people management experience.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays with a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Ability to spend most working time standing, walking, and driving between properties.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, stoop, push, pull, and occasionally lift more than 25 lbs.
• Ability to perform light maintenance tasks.
• Strong self-management, prioritization, deadline management, and fast-paced work skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus CRM experience.

Nice to have

• Hospitality or real estate experience.
• Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation.
• Homeowner relations experience.
