Instructional Designer (FinTech)

Location: Hybrid in London, with attendance at the central London office 2–3 days per week

What you will do

• Design and update technical learning solutions, including storyboards, articles, documentation, presentations, assessments, and eLearning.
• Apply instructional design, adult learning, accessibility, and user experience principles to create effective learning experiences.
• Work with subject matter experts and Product, Delivery, and R&D teams to understand the Platform and turn complex technical topics into training.
• Use learner feedback, data, technical documentation, demos, and recordings to maintain accurate, high-quality content.
• Use AI-assisted tools for research, authoring, automation, and quality checks, with human review for accuracy and alignment with learning objectives.
• Own and track multiple content projects, identify risks and blockers, introduce improved tools or processes, and support colleagues through feedback and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Experience designing technical or complex training content, such as content related to FinTech, analytics, data science, data engineering, or software development.
• Solid knowledge of designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs based on adult learning principles and instructional design theories.
• Good understanding of at least one programming language, such as Java, Scala, Python, or another object-oriented language.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
• Confident use of Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Experience or genuine curiosity in using GenAI for content creation, automation, and productivity.
• Strong organizational skills, including managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing needs.
• Collaborative, proactive, and solution-focused approach with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with an LMS and with using learner data or feedback to improve content.
• Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or sharing knowledge with colleagues, or an interest in doing so.
• Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, or Asana.
