Senior Developer (WMS Development)

Location: Remote within the United States; US applicants only. The listed location is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Salary: $81,753–$138,980 annually.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, enhance, and support Java-based Warehouse Management System applications and warehouse automation solutions.
• Build scalable applications using Java, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, SQL Server, and related enterprise technologies.
• Develop and support integrations among WMS, ERP, OMS, transportation systems, warehouse automation equipment, and third-party platforms.
• Lead software development lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, technical design, coding, testing, release support, documentation, and code reviews.
• Lead production troubleshooting, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement for mission-critical warehouse and distribution systems.
• Mentor developers and coordinate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Operations, QA, IT colleagues, vendors, and technology partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in eCommerce, eBusiness, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of development experience in an enterprise environment and at least 5 years of coding experience with the required languages, platforms, or technologies; 7 years is preferred.
• 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience building enterprise applications with Java, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL Server, Web Services, and Git/GitHub is preferred.
• 3+ years of WMS development experience, including integrations, inventory management, order fulfillment, warehouse automation, and supply chain processes, is preferred.
• Working knowledge of code management systems, intake and task management tools, SDLC, development frameworks, build tools, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience with distributed applications, microservices, API integrations, high-volume transaction processing, and application design, performance tuning, debugging, and production support is preferred.
• Experience with WebSphere, IBM MQ, Drools, enterprise integration technologies, and integrating WMS with ERP, OMS, transportation, and third-party systems is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Azure technologies, including Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and containerization, is preferred; cloud modernization and legacy migration experience is also preferred.
• Ability to multitask and reprioritize, analyze and resolve complex technical issues, communicate effectively, collaborate across functions, and understand budgets, invoices, and financial documents.

Nice to have

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and supporting distribution center, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Experience modernizing and migrating legacy applications to cloud-based platforms.
