Software Developer (Java)

Location: 100% remote from home; candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary: $111,000–$125,000 plus a 5% bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, document, deploy, and debug products across the core call-platform systems.
• Improve the scalability, stability, accuracy, speed, and efficiency of existing data systems.
• Build libraries, frameworks, full systems, and tools for large-scale data management and analysis automation.
• Implement security and data protection while maintaining high standards of testing and code quality.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, stakeholders, and Scrum teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, standups, planning, estimation, retrospectives, demos, and other Agile activities.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant software development experience.
• Professional enterprise-level Java development experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies, current computing trends, and data architecture principles.
• Experience developing RESTful microservices with Spring Boot and implementing distributed systems.
• Experience with version control systems, Linux, and debugging and reasoning about production issues.
• Ability to guide and support teammates, collaborate effectively, communicate and present clearly, solve problems, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours as needed; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual-team communication tools such as Microsoft Teams and Slack.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SIP and VoIP.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, PHP, React, React Native, Docker, and Kubernetes.
