Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; 5-day in-office role

Salary: $224.4K–$303.6K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Build end-to-end features across the fullstack platform.
• Stay hands-on in the codebase while leading and growing an engineering team.
• Lead architecture and technical decisions, maintaining high standards for quality, security, and performance.
• Partner with Product and Design to ship value quickly and reliably.
• Review code, mentor engineers at all levels, and champion development, DevOps, and continuous-improvement practices.
• Keep the team healthy and efficient.

Requirements

• Seasoned fullstack or backend engineer with 1–3 years of leadership experience.
• Comfortable remaining hands-on while setting technical direction.
• Experience building scalable products and owning complex systems end-to-end.
• Strong communication skills and an empathetic, clear leadership style.
• Passion for mentoring engineers and helping teams grow.
• Confident working across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
• Curious, pragmatic, proactive, and independent, with the ability to solve urgent problems in a fast-paced environment with limited processes.
• Willingness to handle hard work and long hours when required to build a successful company.
