Software Engineer, Data Team (Python)

What you will do

• Build the next-generation multi-tenant data platform and its shared data layer.
• Develop and extend a Python data API using layered router, service, and repository architecture.
• Migrate business and data logic from legacy SQL Server stored procedures into testable Python using parameterized SQL and pandas.
• Integrate heterogeneous data sources and cloud data platforms, including potential Snowflake connectivity through SQLAlchemy.
• Improve data correctness, query performance, bulk data movement, reconciliation, and large-dataset processing.
• Deploy and operate services using Docker, Azure, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Python 3.12+ backend development, FastAPI, Pydantic v2, async/await, and T-SQL.
• Expert-level SQL Server and data engineering skills, including parameterized queries, query optimization, execution-plan analysis, indexing, set-based processing, bulk and ETL data movement, and large-dataset performance tuning.
• Experience or comfort migrating logic from legacy stored procedures into Python.
• Exposure to modern cloud data platforms and warehouses such as Snowflake, with interest in integrating multiple heterogeneous data sources behind a unified API.
• Working capability with Azure and DevOps sufficient to deploy and operate developed systems.
