Software Engineer II (.NET)

What you will do

• Build and maintain enterprise-scale backend microservices.
• Design service boundaries, communication patterns, reliable event-driven architectures, and REST/gRPC APIs with backward compatibility and versioning.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, lead design discussions, and influence architecture without formal authority.
• Design Azure DevOps pipelines, manage releases, and apply modern deployment strategies such as blue-green and canary deployments.
• Lead incident response, post-mortems, operational improvements, performance optimization, and debugging of complex production scenarios.
• Mentor colleagues and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software development experience and experience building and maintaining microservices at enterprise scale.
• Expert-level proficiency in .NET 8+ and C# 12+, including async/await, LINQ, performance tuning, and reflection.
• Strong experience with Dapper and/or EF Core, including ORM trade-offs and performance tuning.
• Advanced SQL Server skills covering query tuning, indexing, execution plans, and statistics.
• Experience with microservices design, event-driven architecture using RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus, and REST/gRPC API design.
• Strong ability to lead design discussions and influence architecture without formal authority.
• Advanced Azure DevOps pipeline design and release management, plus understanding of blue-green, canary, and similar deployment strategies.
• Deep experience with testing automation across all testing layers, SOLID principles, design patterns, refactoring, performance profiling, optimization, and complex debugging.
• Experience leading incident response, post-mortems, and operational improvement efforts, with the ability to remain composed during high-severity production challenges.
• Excellent technical communication, ownership, adaptability, collaboration, attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and resilience under pressure.

Nice to have

• Understanding of ACID, isolation levels, deadlocks, sharding, and partitioning.
• Redis expertise in distributed caching and invalidation strategies.
• Elasticsearch experience, including indexing and search and aggregation performance optimization.
• Experience with logging, tracing, and performance monitoring using OpenTelemetry.
