Senior Engineer (iGaming)

What you will do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user requirements and translate them into technical design documents.
• Design scalable software architectures and high-level system diagrams supporting software, hardware, communication, and cross-functional needs.
• Develop, test, and maintain moderate to complex web applications, APIs, websites, data processes, and user interfaces across multiple platforms.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and ensure code quality and DevOps alignment.
• Conduct code reviews, promote coding standards, and drive adoption of relevant methodologies.
• Collaborate with project management to define technical direction and plan project timelines.

Requirements

• Proficiency with .NET 5 and above for developing Web APIs and Worker Services, plus solid experience with C# 8 and above.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch.
• Strong working knowledge of MS SQL Server, including Entity Framework Core and Dapper.
• Familiarity with message queueing systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, including Repos, Pipelines, and Releases.
• Experience with Kubernetes, in-memory and distributed caching such as Redis, microservices architecture, and unit testing practices and frameworks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, multitask, manage time, and deliver projects on time and within scope.
• High attention to detail and comfort working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.

Nice to have

• In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types, and market trends.
• Previous experience in online gaming or the casino industry, including understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations.
• Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements across various jurisdictions.
• Experience developing and executing customer retention strategies.
