Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

What you will do

• Build and maintain enterprise-scale microservices using .NET and C#.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, lead design discussions, and influence architecture without formal authority.
• Design service boundaries, communication patterns, reliable APIs, event-driven systems, and backward-compatible versioning strategies.
• Design Azure DevOps pipelines, manage releases, and apply modern deployment strategies such as blue-green and canary deployments.
• Lead incident response, post-mortems, and operational improvement efforts during high-severity production challenges.
• Mentor engineers and optimize system performance through profiling, debugging, and refactoring.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend software development experience and 3+ years in a senior or equivalent role.
• Expert-level proficiency in .NET 8+ and C# 12+, including async/await, LINQ, performance tuning, and reflection.
• Strong experience with Dapper and/or EF Core, including ORM trade-offs and performance tuning.
• Advanced SQL Server skills, including query tuning, indexing, execution plans, and statistics.
• Experience building and maintaining microservices at enterprise scale, including service boundaries, communication patterns, and reliability.
• Experience with event-driven architecture using RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus.
• Experience designing REST or gRPC APIs, backward compatibility, and versioning strategies.
• Advanced Azure DevOps pipeline design and release management.
• Deep experience with testing automation across all testing layers; strong knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, and refactoring.
• Experience with performance profiling, optimization, complex debugging, incident response, post-mortems, and operational improvements.

Nice to have

• Understanding of ACID, isolation levels, deadlocks, sharding, and partitioning.
• Redis expertise in distributed caching and invalidation strategies.
• Elasticsearch experience, including indexing and search and aggregation performance optimization.
• Experience with logging, tracing, and performance monitoring using OpenTelemetry.
