Senior Software Engineer (iGaming)

What you will do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user requirements and translate them into technical design documents.
• Design scalable software architectures covering software, hardware, and communication components.
• Design, build, test, and maintain moderate to complex web applications, websites, data processes, and user interfaces across multiple platforms.
• Develop high-level system design diagrams and implement CI/CD pipelines aligned with DevOps practices.
• Conduct code reviews, promote coding standards, adopt relevant methodologies, and collaborate on technical direction and project timelines.

Requirements

• Proficiency with .NET 5 or above for Web APIs and Worker Services, and solid experience with C# 8 or above.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, MS SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, and Dapper.
• Familiarity with message queueing systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, including Repos, Pipelines, and Releases.
• Experience with Kubernetes, in-memory and distributed caching tools such as Redis, and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of unit testing practices and frameworks.
• Strong verbal and written communication, cross-functional collaboration, multitasking, time management, attention to detail, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
• Adaptability, ownership and accountability, initiating action, resilience, team orientation, integrity, and innovation are essential behavioural competencies.

Nice to have

• In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types, and market trends.
• Experience in the online gaming or casino industry, including knowledge of player behaviour and industry regulations.
• Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements across jurisdictions.
• Experience developing and executing customer retention strategies.
