Senior Backend Engineer (.NET)

Location: Remote within UTC -1 to UTC +3 time zones; listed locations include Nairobi, Accra, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Kampala, and Lagos.

What you will do

• Build sophisticated event-driven microservices for hirify.global Mobility’s e-mobility financing platform.
• Own solutions end to end, from architecture decisions and implementation through production monitoring and eventual decommissioning.
• Develop with C#/.NET and integrate services using Service Bus or comparable messaging technologies.
• Support cloud infrastructure, containerized deployments, observability, automated testing, and continuous delivery.
• Collaborate within a DevOps-oriented engineering team and contribute to high-quality output, coaching, and AI-assisted development.

Requirements

• Strong grasp of C#/.NET development.
• Experience with event-driven systems using Service Bus or similar messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience with Azure or another major cloud provider such as AWS or GCP.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Expertise in testing and deployment.
• Comfort working across the full software lifecycle, including supporting infrastructure, under a DevOps culture with continuous delivery, testing, and observability as core engineering concerns.
• Experience working with AI coding tools, ideally Claude Code or a similar tool.
