Financial Controller (FR)

hirify.global operates a finance function supporting French legal entities and group accounting, reporting, and control requirements.

What you will do

• Lead month-end and year-end close for all French entities in line with Group Accounting Policies and IFRS.
• Review and approve journal entries, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, and fixed asset accounting.
• Own inventory accounting, valuation, costing, reserves, and coordination of physical cycle counts with Supply Chain.
• Guide Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable workflows through the Accounting Service Centre.
• Lead statutory audits, resolve audit findings, and provide technical accounting guidance on statutory, GAAP, tax, budgets, and forecasts.
• Redesign and automate the France close process by consolidating manual reconciliations into an Oracle workflow.

Requirements

• Progressive accounting experience, ideally beginning in a major audit practice and followed by a senior reporting role in a multinational corporate environment.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, IFRS, statutory reporting standards, and month-end close processes.
• Hands-on experience with balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed asset registers, and inventory valuation.
• Strong partner management skills across FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Supply Chain, and shared service centres.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
• Experience with enterprise ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion.

Nice to have

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional French language skills.
