Financial Controller (NL)

What you will do

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities for all Dutch legal entities in line with IFRS and Group Accounting Policies.
• Review balance sheet, journal, and bank reconciliations; investigate variances and maintain robust financial controls.
• Oversee inventory valuation, costing, reserves, fixed assets, depreciation, impairment reviews, accruals, prepayments, and deferred revenue.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and translate Group Accounting Policies into local statutory and tax treatments.
• Direct external audits and collaborate with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, operations, and the Accounting Service Centre.
• Redesign and automate the Oracle month-end close workflow and improve finance reporting efficiency.

Requirements

• Substantial progressive accounting experience, ideally beginning in a major audit practice and progressing in a multinational corporate environment.
• Deep practical knowledge of IFRS and Dutch statutory reporting standards.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory valuation, and fixed assets.
• Experience with enterprise ERP platforms, ideally Oracle Fusion, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Clear communication skills and experience explaining complex accounting requirements to non-finance stakeholders.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA.

• Academic degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional working proficiency in Dutch.
