Functional Workday Business Analyst (Workday)

Location: St. Louis, Missouri, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days per week onsite

hirify.global provides staffing services and is hiring for a Workday-focused business analysis contract.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, and workshops.
• Analyze business processes and support Workday configuration, maintenance, workflows, approval chains, notifications, and condition rules.
• Support Workday HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Payroll, or Financial Management modules as assigned.
• Develop test scenarios, scripts, and expected results; execute functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Coordinate UAT, manage incidents and service requests, and investigate configuration, security, data, and process issues.
• Support Workday releases, enhancements, organizational structures, and ongoing system optimization for energy and utility workforces.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Typically 3–5 years of business analysis, HRIS, ERP, or enterprise systems experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting Workday functional modules and knowledge of Workday business processes, configuration concepts, testing, and production support.
• Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, fit-gap analysis, and functional documentation.
• Experience coordinating UAT, managing defects, and validating business outcomes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, documentation, and project tracking tools.
