Assistant Vice President, Data & Analytics - Enterprise Data Products and Enablement (AI)

Location: Hartford, CT, St. Paul, MN, or Hunt Valley, MD; hybrid or fully in-office arrangements available

Annual base salary: $191,500–$316,000

hirify.global is a large property and casualty insurer investing in an Enterprise Data, Digital and Analytics business unit.

What you will do

• Lead architecture teams supporting Enterprise Data Products and Data Enablement value streams.
• Define target-state technology architecture, roadmaps, standards, and alignment with business objectives.
• Own architecture for master data management, geospatial capabilities, enterprise data products, and the Enterprise Generative Business Intelligence platform.
• Set direction for data governance, cataloging, lineage, metadata, data quality tooling and pipelines, third-party data management, and modern cloud data platforms.
• Lead large technology proofs of concept, modernization, transformation, and technical-debt reduction.
• Develop architects and engineers, influence senior leaders, communicate architectural direction, and build organizational buy-in.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM or technology field, or equivalent education and/or work experience.
• At least 8 additional years of architecture or software engineering experience and 3 years of technical leadership experience.
• At least 10 years of architecture experience, including advanced architecture expertise and recent hands-on engineering with modern technologies.
• Experience creating and executing complex, large-scale technology strategies and initiatives.
• Extensive executive leadership experience shaping enterprise-wide technology strategy and business decisions.
• Experience leading, mentoring, coaching, and developing technology architects and engineers, aligning multi-team goals, and managing performance.
• Experience working in an agile operating model and supporting transformational change.
• Experience developing technology target states and roadmaps aligned with short- and long-term business goals.
• Advanced understanding of value creation, business capability models, insurance industry practices, problem analysis, decision-making, collaboration, judgment, and communication.
