Senior Director, Software Engineering (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Lead the Data Streams engineering organization responsible for quarterly HCP, HCO, and clinical trial data feed releases.
• Drive the DAM platform buildout across canonical schemas, entity resolution, S3/SFTP delivery, onboarding UI, alerting, observability, CSV formats, mapping, and enrichment.
• Move customer onboarding from bespoke engineering to a configurable, template-driven product model.
• Own data governance, release cadence, data dictionary contracts, classifications, QA gates, and hotfix policy.
• Partner with Product, Data Feeds, Commercial, and Customer Success on schemas, data sources, delivery roadmaps, customer contracts, and onboarding timelines.
• Build and develop the engineering organization through hiring, coaching, performance management, incident response, root cause analysis, and manager development.

Requirements

• Proven ownership of a data product delivered to external enterprise customers, including its schema, delivery contract, and customer relationship.
• Experience moving bespoke per-customer engineering to a configurable, template-driven platform.
• Deep understanding of enterprise data delivery, schema governance, data dictionaries, versioning, and data-product release management.
• Expertise with Parquet, CSV, Avro, S3, and SFTP delivery.
• Experience with data-delivery QA frameworks, schema conformance, completeness validation, value-integrity checks, and pass/fail-with-reasons reporting.
• Pharma or life sciences domain knowledge, including how organizations consume HCP, HCO, clinical trial, and other external data feeds.
• Experience managing managers and developing engineering managers as direct reports.
• Strong cross-functional communication in commercial conversations, data contract discussions, and executive roadmap reviews.
• Ability to make and communicate tradeoffs between schema changes, customer commitments, delivery speed, and governance discipline.
