Director, GH&B AI-Ready Data Foundation & Governance

Location: Hybrid, United States — New York City; regular travel to hirify.global offices, vendor offices, and team meeting locations may be required. Regular meetings with EU- and US-based stakeholders are required. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States by any employer and have permanent U.S. work authorization; U.S. visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base salary: $162,900–$271,500, plus a 20% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Own the GH&B AI Ready Data Warehouse on Snowflake, including its data model and AI and analytics layer.
• Establish and maintain ontologies and semantic relationships across manufacturing, commercial, supply, and pricing data.
• Own GH&B data governance, quality, lineage, stewardship, access controls, monitoring, and alerting.
• Maintain the reliability and production support of Athena, NEO, the GH&B Navigator dashboard, shortage and flu prediction models, and related platforms.
• Establish version control, testing, release processes, documentation, and runbooks for the warehouse, ontology, dashboards, and models.
• Partner with GH&B Digital, enterprise Digital & Technology, Legal/Privacy, analytics teams, stakeholders, and contingent contractors to prioritize and deliver the data and governance roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 8+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with more than 7+ years, or a Ph.D. with 5+ years.
• Experience in data architecture, data management, data engineering, or data governance.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biosimilars, or hospital-market industries.
• Experience building and operating enterprise data warehouses or AI-ready data platforms supporting business-critical reporting and analytics.
• High proficiency in SQL and Python, regular production coding, and ability to review and correct code.
• Experience architecting unstructured data strategies for AI consumption, including extraction, chunking, enrichment, and metadata for documents, text, transcripts, or images.
• Hands-on experience with Collibra for data cataloguing, lineage, and governance workflows.
• Experience creating data ontologies, taxonomies, or semantic/knowledge-graph models across multiple domains.
• Experience setting and enforcing governance standards for quality, access, and stewardship in a matrixed organization.
• Experience directing contingent contractor or vendor engineering resources; applying AI and machine-learning concepts; supporting business-critical production applications; influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority; and communicating technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a relevant field or a recognized data-management credential such as DAMA CDMP.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience with data modeling, performance tuning, and access/security administration.
• Experience with RDF/OWL, Protégé, graph databases, Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, or establishing data functions in a newly formed team or business unit.
• Experience with hirify.global’s Unified Data Hub or Finance United Data Hub.
