Senior IT Manager, Global Data and Analytics (AI)

Location: Onsite in Alameda, California, United States. This is not a remote role.

Base pay: $148,700–$297,300 annually; pay ranges may vary by location.

What you will do

• Advise Commercial, Marketing, R&D, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functions on data, analytics, AI, and GenAI opportunities.
• Establish and scale the Data Product delivery model, including discovery, vision, roadmaps, lifecycle management, KPIs, and value realization.
• Champion modern data engineering, lakehouse capabilities, data quality, observability, metadata, lineage, security, governance, and reusable data assets.
• Provide conceptual solution direction and partner with Architecture, Engineering, Corporate IT, Legal, Privacy, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and Delivery teams.
• Lead AI and GenAI opportunity assessment, prioritization, implementation, responsible AI practices, and adoption monitoring.
• Manage portfolio intake, prioritization, investment trade-offs, delivery risks, dependencies, resources, and business-led data governance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive Data & Analytics leadership experience spanning Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Analytics, Data Management, and Data Governance.
• Hands-on experience driving data strategy, data architecture, Data Product governance, and enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions.
• Experience partnering with senior business leaders to translate strategic priorities into scalable technology-enabled solutions.
• Experience operating across business functions, Functional BRMs, Data & Analytics, Architecture, Engineering, and IT in complex matrixed environments.
• Deep understanding of modern data architectures, cloud analytics ecosystems, enterprise data platforms, and product-oriented delivery models, including Databricks, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or related cloud data platforms.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and architectures for enterprise Data & Analytics platforms.
• Hands-on Databricks experience, including Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and modern data governance practices.
• Experience establishing and scaling Data Products, Data Product operating models, Data Mesh principles, domain-oriented ownership, and business-led data governance.
• Experience leading conceptual solution design and influencing architecture, platform, and technology decisions with Architecture and Engineering teams.
• Ability to lead through influence, drive alignment, and make decisions across complex global matrix organizations; strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Healthcare industry experience, including regulated environments involving patient, clinical, or healthcare data.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, or similar enterprise analytics and business intelligence platforms.
• Familiarity with GenAI and LLM frameworks and experience evaluating or implementing enterprise AI, Generative AI, or LLM-based solutions.
• Exposure to applied AI/ML initiatives, model governance, MLOps concepts, or responsible AI practices.
• Experience with Customer Data Platform technologies.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
• Master’s degree.
