Business Systems Analyst 2

Location: Hybrid in Walnut Creek, California; work from home available up to 2 days per week upon eligibility. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $111,550–$140,000 per year.

What you will do

• Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and analysis, and translate them into functional specifications, system designs, and workflow diagrams.
• Analyze business systems and workflows, design scalable solutions with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, and technical product owners, and support project planning and implementation.
• Conduct functional, regression, and user acceptance testing; define acceptance criteria, develop test plans with QA, and lead UAT sessions.
• Coordinate product releases with release management, DevOps, and support teams, then monitor performance and provide post-launch support.
• Support data integration, reporting, business intelligence, dashboards, end-user training, and system adoption.
• Improve business processes and ensure applications meet SOX, PCI-DSS, internal security, audit, risk assessment, and disaster recovery requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role.
• Experience with low-code platforms, SQL, and data visualization tools.
• Experience with microservices architecture, containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes, and modern cloud-native applications.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, or containerization.
• CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe certification.
• Knowledge of automation tools, monitoring, logging platforms, business analysis tools such as Microsoft Visio and Lucidchart, and project management software such as ADO, Jira, or Asana.
• Strong root cause analysis, business process, ERP/CRM, communication, project management, adaptability, independent work, collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
