Senior Systems Analyst

Location: Boston, MA, United States; hybrid schedule with 4 days per week in the office and 1 day working remotely.

Base salary: USD 90,000–180,000 per year.

What you will do

• Partner with Regulatory Reporting, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Technology teams to define and document business requirements.
• Lead requirements sessions, stakeholder workshops, process reviews, data analysis, and workflow assessments.
• Translate regulatory, compliance, and risk requirements into scalable technology solutions and identify automation and process improvements.
• Create and maintain business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, data mappings, and test plans.
• Collaborate with development, QA, Support, offshore development, and consulting teams throughout the SDLC.
• Perform SQL-based data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and root-cause investigation; lead UAT, production validation, and implementation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 7 years of business analysis experience partnering with Investment Technology and business teams.
• Cross-functional expertise in investment management, regulatory reporting, compliance, and technology platforms.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate with business and technology stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, written and verbal communication, stakeholder influence, and consensus-building skills.
• Advanced SQL and data analysis skills.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, regulatory controls, compliance systems, and reporting workflows.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing complex business and technical requirements.
• Ability to work independently in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Athena, and CloudWatch.
• Hands-on Python experience in data analysis, automation, scripting, reporting, and process optimization.
• Experience using generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT for analysis, documentation, testing, and efficiency.
• Experience working with offshore development teams and consulting partners.
