SQL Server Developer

Location: 100% onsite in Short Hills, New Jersey, U.S.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise data integration, data warehousing, and analytics delivery from requirements through production deployment.
• Translate business needs into reliable technical solutions and provide hands-on development support.
• Serve as the primary bridge among business users, Product Owners, Project Managers, QA teams, application partners, and offshore development teams.
• Develop and support data warehouse solutions using Informatica, Microsoft SQL Server, and IBM Netezza.
• Coordinate technical delivery, production support, stakeholder communication, and execution across delivery teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of experience in data warehousing, ETL, data integration, or enterprise analytics delivery, including 10+ years of overall experience required for the position.
• 3+ years of experience leading technical teams and coordinating work with offshore delivery resources.
• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience, including advanced SQL development, stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience developing or supporting enterprise data warehouse solutions on IBM Netezza.
• Understanding of data integration patterns, dimensional modeling, batch processing, data quality, and production support.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and structured SDLC delivery environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, planning, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Databricks experience, including data engineering, Delta Lake, lakehouse patterns, or ETL modernization.
• Power BI experience with enterprise dashboards, semantic models, data refresh, and reporting solutions.
• Experience with cloud data services on Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of cloud data lakes, lakehouse architecture, CI/CD, DevOps, or DataOps practices.
• Insurance industry experience, preferably Property & Casualty insurance, and exposure to policy, claims, billing, underwriting, finance, reinsurance, or regulatory reporting data.
• Experience delivering solutions in regulated environments with awareness of audit, compliance, data governance, privacy, security, and data-retention requirements.
