Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Location: United States; onshore

Compensation: USD 47,000–165,000 annually

hirify.global is hiring for a data engineering role focused on scalable data pipelines and Snowflake-based warehouse models.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate batch and incremental data pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Develop and optimize Snowflake data models and transformations.
• Write scripts to orchestrate, monitor, and troubleshoot data workflows.
• Implement data quality checks, validation, lineage, and alerting.
• Tune query performance and manage warehouse cost and resource usage.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and application teams to deliver datasets and document pipelines, schemas, and data contracts.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong Python skills and experience with scripting languages such as Bash.
• Advanced SQL, including complex joins, window functions, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake warehouses, stages, tasks, streams, and role-based access.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT patterns.
• Bachelor's degree.

Nice to have

• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow and transformation frameworks such as dbt.
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP data services.
• Exposure to data governance, security, and privacy practices.
