Senior Manager, Engineering - Onboarding (Fintech)

Location: United States of America; remote role

Base pay range: $217,500–$264,167 per year.

What you will do

• Lead and develop the engineering team building hirify.global’s centralized customer onboarding and lifecycle management platform.
• Build scalable business and consumer onboarding automation from initial engagement through activation.
• Design a unified platform for customer relationship changes, product combinations, and evolving onboarding requirements.
• Guide partner-facing SDKs, APIs, integrations, and product-specific onboarding capabilities.
• Develop internal compliance tools supporting customer reviews, verification, lifecycle changes, fraud prevention, and downstream risk management.
• Drive architecture, security, reliability, operational excellence, hiring, performance management, and engineering-team development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including 3+ years of people management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong background designing scalable distributed systems, APIs, and complex backend platforms.
• Experience providing technical guidance and mentoring senior and staff-level engineers.
• Experience making architectural decisions and delivering secure, reliable systems with high engineering and operational standards.
• Strong people leadership, execution, cross-functional collaboration, hiring, performance management, and delivery ownership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with customer onboarding, identity verification, KYC/KYB, or regulatory compliance platforms.
• Experience developing partner-facing APIs, embeddable SDKs, or workflow automation for consumer and business applications.
• Familiarity with financial services, fintech, payments, or jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements.
