Project Manager (IT)

What you will do

• Mobilise and manage large-scale IT projects from initiation through completion against scope, timelines, budgets, quality objectives, and business requirements.
• Lead project teams in a matrix environment and coordinate internal teams, vendors, and external suppliers.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, project governance, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, budgets, and financial reporting.
• Prepare weekly and monthly updates for project sponsors, senior leadership, programme leadership, and governance forums.
• Manage supplier performance, contracts, commercial engagements, procurement, and tender activities where required.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews, drive continuous improvement, and provide coaching, mentoring, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering large-scale IT projects.
• Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Third-level qualification, degree, or diploma in a relevant discipline.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, including engagement with senior business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience delivering technology projects in complex, matrix-managed environments.
• Ability to manage budgets, project governance, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Experience working with third-party suppliers and outsourced delivery partners.
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work across multiple teams and management levels and present project updates to senior leadership and governance forums.

Nice to have

• Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent.
• Experience in public sector or highly regulated environments.
• Experience with procurement, tendering, and vendor selection.
• Experience delivering large-scale digital transformation, infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise application projects.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
