Project Manager (Overhead Lines)

Location: Power T&D Alness Asti Project; projects across the UK and Ireland, specifically in the North of Scotland. Regular and prolonged work away from home is required.

What you will do

• Lead the delivery of assigned overhead-lines projects through design, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
• Approve scopes of work, plans, estimates, project programmes, budgets, quality plans, risk registers, and change controls.
• Coordinate engineering designers, site teams, construction teams, subcontractors, clients, procurement, and project resources.
• Manage NEC contract terms, variations, expenditure, cash flow, schedule performance, and monthly project reporting.
• Provide technical support and leadership, resolve project issues, and drive safety-by-design, quality, environmental, and SHEQ standards.
• Support bids, win plans, business development, estimating, client growth, and the mobilisation of new projects.

Requirements

• Engineering qualification at Degree, HND, or HNC level, or an equivalent industry track record.
• Recognised SHE qualification such as NEBOSH and a project management qualification.
• Knowledge of NEC3 Form of Contract and SMSTS.
• Experience leading and managing Project Managers through all phases of design, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
• Experience establishing project delivery teams, managing design-team input, and coordinating construction teams and subcontractors.
• Experience controlling delivery against cost, schedule, and change without compromising SHEQ standards, including project budgets, estimates, schedules, risks, variations, and remedial actions.
• Experience managing client and subcontractor relationships, supporting estimating, developing new-client growth, winning work, and maintaining profitability.
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental responsibilities, and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment studies.
• Ability to review scopes of work, manage engineering design, procurement status, project start-up meetings, project instructions, client meetings, and close-out activities; full driving licence and successful completion of a compulsory Drugs and Alcohol test are required.
