Director of Enterprise Systems and Services (ERP)

Location: Hybrid arrangement in the Doylestown, Pennsylvania office; department location listed as Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, United States.

What you will do

• Define the roadmap, architecture standards, lifecycle practices, operating procedures, and change-management protocols for the university’s ERP and related enterprise systems.
• Lead, mentor, and develop enterprise applications and integration professionals while establishing objectives, cross-training, and continuous improvement practices.
• Oversee data integration using APIs, batch pipelines, and middleware; support data governance, reporting, and operational data stores.
• Partner with campus functional leaders to optimize cross-departmental workflows across areas including the Registrar, Financial Aid, Finance, Human Resources, and Admissions.
• Serve as the senior technical escalation point for critical incidents, including root-cause analysis, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
• Manage the enterprise systems project portfolio, vendors, product evaluations, contracts, and resource planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, plus at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise systems architecture, administration, or integration; equivalent combinations of relevant education, certifications, and hands-on experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated success leading, mentoring, and developing technical personnel or cross-functional project teams.
• Deep understanding of enterprise architectures, relational databases such as MSSQL, and integration methods including REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and ETL/ELT.
• Proven ability to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise projects, implementations, or upgrades from initiation through adoption.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical academic and administrative partners.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Information Systems, Technology Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in higher education IT, including student information systems and higher education ERPs such as Ellucian Colleague.
• Experience with Ellucian Ethos, Informer, TransAct, ODS, TouchNet, or similar higher-education integration, reporting, payment, or commerce platforms.
• Working knowledge of data governance frameworks and agile or ITIL service management principles.
