Senior Software Developer — Professional Service (Vue)

Location: Remote in the United States or Canada; legally authorized to work in Canada.

Base salary: CAD 100,000–120,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Clear the DTEC development backlog by agreeing scope and delivery dates with engineering leadership.
• Investigate and fix product defects, including legacy Visual FoxPro code, while improving release quality and reducing repeat support issues.
• Gather customer requirements, estimate work, agree scope, and deliver customizations, reports, data fixes, integrations, and enhancements.
• Provide customer status updates, manage change requests, track project time, and support monthly billing.
• Build and maintain components on the Vue, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL modernization stack.
• Use Jira and Git, document changes, hand over work to support, and share development practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing or customizing ERP or business software, including customer-facing project work.
• Visual FoxPro development experience.
• Production experience with Vue.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong SQL and data skills.
• Experience estimating work and delivering to agreed dates; comfortable with billable, time-tracked work.
• Clear written and verbal communication with non-technical customers.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada and set up for remote work.

Nice to have

• SYSPRO development or customization experience.
• Android or Xamarin experience.
• Distribution, food and beverage, or manufacturing industry experience.
• Report writing with tools such as Crystal Reports or SSRS, and ERP integration experience.
• Jira experience.
