Specialist Pre-Litigated File Handler (Casualty Claims)

What you will do

• Manage a pre-litigation caseload of specialist casualty claims from inception to settlement, including public liability, employers liability, product liability, and property damage.
• Handle specialist matters such as fatalities and serious injuries, GDPR, defamation and PR-sensitive claims, multi-defendant claims, and policy coverage issues.
• Manage claims with reserves up to £200,000, allocate new claims, set strategies, and comply with client SLAs.
• Maintain accurate case management data and deliver required quality and productivity standards.
• Undertake supervisory tasks, train and mentor team members, and support client review meetings and project work.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of claims handling and casualty experience.
• Experience handling quantum up to £100,000.
• Significant experience with specialist claims involving complex liability and quantum issues.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong communication and negotiation skills, and effective workload prioritisation.
• Experience providing training or mentoring and supervising colleagues.
