Mechanical Design Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

What you will do

• Design mechanical components, layouts, and detailed drawings for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment using 3D CAD software.
• Perform stress, thermal, and vibration analysis to validate mechanical designs.
• Select materials and manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, and additive manufacturing.
• Build and test prototypes, analyze performance data, and iterate designs through debugging and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers to integrate mechanical designs into larger system architectures.
• Prepare design documentation, specifications, test plans, assembly instructions, and contribute to design reviews and quality processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; minimum qualifications also accept a Doctorate with 0 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 2 years, or a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo.
• Strong understanding of statics, dynamics, materials science, and thermodynamics.
• Experience with FEA tools for stress, thermal, and vibration analysis.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and debugging mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
