Mechanical Engineer (Kitchen Appliances)

What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical engineering solutions and products for the Kitchen Appliance category.
• Create, optimize, and validate mechanical designs from concept through detailed design, integration, product verification, and production launch.
• Define and maintain requirements, manage subsystem interfaces, and break solutions into parts, processes, and functions while optimizing system architecture.
• Translate consumer and business requirements into engineering inputs, including cost and platforming opportunities, and manage related KPIs.
• Develop verification plans and collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and suppliers on product integration and industrialization.
• Test and refine designs, manage lifecycle improvements, assess supplier innovations, identify risks, lead safety analyses, and ensure compliance with international standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering is required; manufacturing, materials, or another engineering field is also acceptable.
• At least 2 years of mechanical engineering experience is required.
• Strong experience with 3D CAD design, preferably Creo or Siemens NX.
• Solid knowledge of plastics, injection molding technologies, and mechanical design principles.
• Knowledge of DFSS, FMEA, DFM/A/T, cost management, requirements management, and systems engineering.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical technical solutions.
• Proactive, hands-on, independent working style with sound decision-making and prioritization skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and supplier organizations.
• Fluent English and Chinese, both spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Experience in system architecture.
• Knowledge of kitchen appliance products, including motor-driven and heating products.
