Data Center Structure Design Engineer (Data Center)

Location: Shanghai, China; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned Intel site and off-site work.

Work with Intel's Data Center Group on platforms supporting cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and big data.

What you will do

• Design and analyze structural components for data center platforms according to technical specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams to optimize platform reliability and scalability.
• Perform simulations and stress tests for the mechanical and thermal performance of structural components.
• Prepare models, drawings, and technical reports for project development and manufacturing.
• Implement design improvements to increase robustness, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
• Track industry trends and emerging technologies in structural design.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Proficiency with computer-aided design software and structural analysis simulation tools.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with finite element analysis techniques and tools.
