Data Center Structure Design Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based at the hirify.global site in Shanghai, China, with time split between on-site and off-site work.

What you will do

• Design and analyze structural components for data center platforms according to technical specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams to improve platform reliability and scalability.
• Perform simulations and stress tests to assess the mechanical and thermal performance of structural components.
• Create models, drawings, and technical reports for project development and manufacturing.
• Implement design improvements to increase robustness, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
• Track industry trends and emerging technologies in structural design.

Requirements

• PhD or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and structural analysis simulation tools.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) techniques and tools.
