Senior Data Analyst (Tableau)

Salary: $127,171.00–$155,000.00/year, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives

What you will do

• Translate complex business problems and requirements into data, mathematical, analytical, and project solutions.
• Identify suitable data sources, perform data quality checks, and manage data quality measurement, cleansing, governance, accessibility, and service-level procedures.
• Build storytelling dashboards and visualizations for strategic, tactical, and operational use cases, partnering with UX designers and UI engineers when needed.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, apply statistical techniques, build basic statistical models, and communicate insights to business stakeholders.
• Develop and optimize data workflows across Tableau, GCP, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Python, Scala, SQL, and multiple enterprise data sources.
• Provide recommendations, business cases, mentoring, and expert guidance while aligning analytical solutions with business strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field plus 2 years of experience in data analysis, data science, or related experience; or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing storytelling dashboards in Tableau Desktop and Power BI and publishing them to servers connected to Oracle, MySQL, Teradata, Prod 17, DB2, and GCP BigQuery.
• Experience migrating Teradata databases to GCP and Hadoop, using Query IT and Hive to access Hadoop files, and blending data from multiple sources.
• Experience developing dashboard navigation schemes, migrating legacy reports into Tableau, and managing Tableau semantic layers with reusable data sources and KPIs.
• Experience using Python to create and extract large sales datasets, perform complex computations, create BigQuery tables, and schedule refreshes.
• Experience developing Spark code with Scala, Python, and Spark SQL; performing real-time analysis with Kafka Consumer API, Kafka topics, and Spark Streaming.
• Experience with performance tuning of Targets, Sources, Mappings, and Sessions and with PL/SQL programming, stored procedures, functions, packages, SQL tuning, tables, views, materialized views, triggers, sequences, and synonyms.
