Senior Software Engineer (SAP HANA)

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 per year, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives.

What you will do

• Design software solutions covering architecture, distributed systems, scalability, design patterns, disaster recovery, telemetry, and non-functional requirements.
• Convert high-level designs into detailed module and component designs, including mock screens, pseudocode, and functional logic.
• Analyze requirements, scope, risks, costs, traceability, business objectives, and solution gaps; contribute to user stories and corrective actions.
• Develop and configure components using appropriate languages, frameworks, tools, platforms, and security standards.
• Build automation scripts for CI/CD, testing, and repetitive operational processes.
• Prepare and execute tests, perform root-cause analysis, and identify defects against customer requirements and test objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
• Experience with SAP HANA database performance monitoring, fine-tuning, workload classes, software patching, backups, and recovery.
• Experience installing, uninstalling, and upgrading SAP HANA support patches and performing HANA database migrations.
• Experience using SAP Notes to resolve HANA database Index Server issues, conducting HANA health checks with SAP Mini-check and custom scripts, and automating tasks.
• Experience with SAP HANA Cockpit, HANA Studio, multi-node HANA operation with Pacemaker for high availability, data-volume defragmentation, and table partitioning.
• Experience with HANA database start and stop processes and automation with LaMa.
• Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans and managing SAP HANA security certificates and licenses.
