Senior IT Professional I (Infrastructure)

Location: Onsite in College Station, Texas, United States; may require out-of-town travel and work outside standard office hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary: $70,000–$74,000 annually.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership, oversight, and guidance for unit-level projects, operations, computing plans, network plans, and technical standards.
• Research technical problems, formulate solutions, prepare management reports, and develop procedures, documentation, and knowledge base articles.
• Design and test disaster recovery plans while maintaining system security and protecting critical infrastructure and data.
• Lead, coach, recruit, supervise, and conduct performance reviews for technical staff.
• Collaborate with clients and technical support teams, provide software application training, and identify appropriate technical solutions.
• Oversee building management and alert systems, daily technical equipment and infrastructure inspections, and new technology deployments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of related experience.
• Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grids, hazardous waste treatment systems, or water treatment systems.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Ability to comply with applicable state and federal laws and codes and Texas A&M University System policies, regulations, rules, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Successful completion of a CJIS background check, including driving and criminal history checks.

Nice to have

• Ability to obtain TLETS Certification as a Criminal Justice Practitioner.
• ITIL Fundamentals.
• Hyper-V or VMware virtualization experience.
• Server infrastructure management experience.
