Sr. Managing Consultant/Managing Consultant Business & Technology Analyst - Financial Institution Operations & Technology (AI)

Location: New York, NY; preferred locations include Chicago, Washington, D.C., Dallas, and Boston. Strong candidates in other locations may be considered case by case. Candidates must be able to verify their legal right to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: Managing Consultant: $115,000–$160,000 annually; Senior Managing Consultant: $150,000–$175,000 annually.

hirify.global is an established consulting firm building a Financial Institution Operations & Technology practice focused initially on commercial and consumer banking, combining banking expertise, technology, and AI-enabled delivery.

What you will do

• Lead discovery with client stakeholders to clarify business problems, user needs, operational constraints, and opportunities for technology and AI-enabled improvement.
• Assess current-state processes, systems, and data; design future-state workflows and operating-model changes.
• Translate findings into user stories, functional and nonfunctional requirements, business rules, process maps, and testable acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with technical architects and AI/data engineers on data, integrations, feasibility, trade-offs, and requirements resolution during development.
• Support backlog prioritization, sprint planning, demonstrations, feedback-driven iteration, workstream coordination, risk tracking, and executive communications.
• Coordinate testing, user acceptance, defect resolution, AI-enabled workflow evaluation, implementation, training, operating procedures, adoption, and handover.

Requirements

• Managing Consultant candidates require at least 5 years of relevant experience; Senior Managing Consultant candidates require at least 7 years in business transformation, business or technology analysis, or implementation, including experience leading workstreams.
• Demonstrated experience leading business or technology analysis for complex transformation or implementation work, with hands-on responsibility from discovery and requirements through implementation.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into process models, user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria that technical teams can implement and test.
• Experience working in agile or multidisciplinary delivery teams across business, operations, technology, risk, and compliance, including identifying dependencies, controls, and delivery risks.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to facilitate workshops, influence senior stakeholders, and take ownership of high-quality work in a fast-moving environment.
• Curiosity about AI-enabled delivery, willingness to learn and use approved tools responsibly, and ability to travel to client sites as needed.
• Ability to collaborate directly with client business and technology teams, own the quality and traceability of business analysis, validate AI outputs, and protect client information.

Nice to have

• Consulting-firm experience delivering transformation or technology-enabled change, preferably for financial institutions.
• Financial services experience in consumer lending, commercial lending, or payments; experience in mortgage, credit card, personal loan, or auto lending, including servicing, collections, and default; adjacent banking or wealth and asset management experience.
• Experience applying Claude or ChatGPT to analysis or delivery, or implementing AI-enabled workflows, automation, or digital solutions.
• Technical fluency in applications, data flows, APIs, and system integrations, including discussing feasibility and trade-offs with architects and engineers.
• Experience with data analysis or SQL, process modeling, prototyping or low-code tools, and Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with regulated environments, operational controls, change management, or regulatory remediation; relevant agile, business-analysis, or AI training.
• Experience coaching colleagues, capturing reusable assets and lessons learned, and contributing to proposals, new offerings, recruiting, or thought leadership.
