Semiconductor Tools Installations & Bay Fit-up Upgrades Project Manager (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States; travel up to 10%.

Salary: $110,500–$152,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the design, planning, construction, start-up, and commissioning of advanced semiconductor R&D lab facility upgrades and tool installations in Silicon Valley.
• Oversee facility project managers and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, contracting, construction, and commissioning.
• Coordinate internal business units, tool owners, Facilities Operations, EH&S, architecture and engineering firms, and contractors.
• Manage long-lead equipment and materials, engineering submittals, permits, inspections, building-code compliance, and construction approvals.
• Secure capital approvals, track performance metrics, improve project cycle times, and address scope, funding, safety, and constructability issues.
• Develop a global platform of methods, processes, resources, contracting approaches, and performance improvements for R&D tool hook-up teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in the semiconductor, Thin Films, or similar industry.
• Experience with highly technical facility planning, design, and construction.
• Proven success managing semiconductor tool installations in R&D facilities.
• Prior management experience and experience leading project management teams or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
• Strong communication, stakeholder influence, partnership, and complex-environment management skills.
• Experience selecting, developing, and managing tool hook-up service providers and supplier bases.
• Strong computer skills, including moderate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint abilities.
• Ability to analyze data, improve business processes, reduce project cycle times, manage capital versus expense accounting, and review scope funding gaps.
• Ability to translate complex technical project requirements into manageable, constructible work packages.
