Senior Research Associate (Biotech)

Location: Remote role associated with Suzhou, China; the listing also states CN - Shanghai - Remote.

What you will do

• Recruit, lead, and mentor a junior team of scientists.
• Develop and review workplans covering protein purification and analytical techniques, including SEC, UPLC-MS, HPLC, SDS-PAGE, and endotoxin testing.
• Monitor result documentation in ELN and approve production reports and product certificates.
• Communicate results with stakeholders and serve as a subject-matter expert in customer project meetings.
• Support laboratory operations and follow company, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in chemical biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
• Team management skills and a strong team-player mentality.
• Experience with protein purification and analysis, including SEC, IEX, affinity chromatography such as protein A/L and Ni-NTA, SDS-PAGE, RP-HPLC, and MS.
• Experience handling antibodies, including modification, purification, and analysis.
• Strong commitment to laboratory work and project delivery, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with bioconjugation chemistry techniques and preferably hands-on experience.
