Applications Scientist – LC Columns

Location: On-site in Little Falls, Delaware, four days per week, with one optional remote workday; candidates must reside in Delaware or within a reasonable commuting distance. Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events may be required.

Salary: $107,440–$167,875 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize HPLC and LC/MS workflows for pharmaceutical compounds, impurities, pesticides, environmental contaminants, and other small molecules.
• Design and execute experiments to establish robust and reproducible analytical workflows.
• Generate product validation data, proof points, and competitive benchmarking results.
• Create application notes, white papers, posters, presentations, and other technical content.
• Support customer presentations, troubleshooting activities, field teams, and product adoption.
• Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Manufacturing, Commercial, and field teams on new LC consumables and workflow launches.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in small molecule analysis using LC and LC/MS.
• Experience with HPLC, LC/MS instrumentation, analytical software, and sample preparation techniques.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, environmental, food safety, or related analytical markets.
• Experience developing analytical methods and workflows for small molecule characterization.
• Ability to present technical findings to customers, scientific conferences, and internal stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events as needed.
