Scientific Lab Manager (Biotech)

What you will do

• Manage, coordinate, and track ordering, receiving, and sharing of common reagents.
• Supervise day-to-day administrative activities supporting laboratory research and operations.
• Support experimental work, including animal colony and cell-line maintenance, routine molecular and biochemical assays, basic animal behavior studies, and tissue harvesting.
• Coordinate with operations on fixed-asset inventories, purchasing, core-facility use, EH&S, and compliance.
• Maintain and develop laboratory collections and databases.
• Support cell health and rejuvenation research in a collaborative, cross-functional scientific environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences and at least 3 years of laboratory management experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Google applications, Excel, and PowerPoint, including graphic skills for producing documents and managing office projects.
• Demonstrated organization and experience operating complex teams, leading cross-functional initiatives, and driving projects to completion.
• Exceptional communication skills for coordinating scientists and prioritizing projects.
• Ability to navigate complex environments, build collaborative relationships, synthesize and articulate operational needs, and work effectively in dynamic team settings.
• Strength in dealing with ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in life sciences with 3–5 years of post-graduate department, laboratory, or project management experience.
• Hands-on in vivo animal-work experience.
• Experience with iPSC and neural differentiation.
• Strong molecular biology and biochemical assay skills, including DNA/RNA extraction, qPCR, ELISA, and immunofluorescence, plus animal colony maintenance.
