Business Analyst - Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence

Location: Toronto office, with 100% remote, hybrid, and in-office working arrangements available in Canada.

Salary: Annual base salary of $111,000–$129,000, plus a discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead discovery, clarification, and documentation of requirements for data warehouse, ETL, and BI reporting solutions.
• Translate business needs into user stories, data definitions, integration specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze source data, perform profiling and data quality assessments, and create source-to-target mappings and transformation logic.
• Support data mart and data model design with data architects, governance teams, developers, and business stakeholders.
• Define BI reporting specifications covering metrics, aggregation rules, layouts, filters, visuals, usability, consistency, and role-based access.
• Support data validation, functional testing, QA/UAT, and documentation of reporting logic, metrics, and data flows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in data, reporting, or analytics environments.
• University degree or equivalent work experience; a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data/Analytics, or a related field is required.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data mart design.
• Solid knowledge of ETL processes and data flows from operational systems to analytics environments.
• Experience with Business Objects and Tableau.
• Proficiency in SQL is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of metadata, data lineage, data quality frameworks, and data governance.
• Proficiency with Confluence, Jira, Visio, and data modelling tools.
• Experience working closely with data architects, ETL developers, BI developers, finance teams, and business stakeholders.
