Senior IT Business Analyst (Insurance)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office or onsite with clients

Base salary: CAD 102,600–152,600 per year, plus potential performance-based incentives.

What you will do

• Gather and document business requirements for Program Policy renewals with business stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for data capture, policy rating, quotes, policy packages, bordereaux, and certificates of insurance.
• Communicate requirements to Development and QA teams through the ADO Ticketing System, tracking and prioritizing delivery tickets.
• Support client and application data migration into the Velocity Brokering System using data analysis tools.
• Prepare test data and test cases, coordinate UAT with business users and the COE Call Centre team, and conduct functional and system integration testing.
• Create process maps, resolve issues, manage client and end-user communications, and report renewal completion metrics.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of the insurance and brokerage industry, with strong experience in Program Business operations.
• 5+ years of experience as a Senior IT Business Analyst managing Program Renewals end to end.
• Experience with Change Management processes and advanced Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and complex functions.
• Strong data analysis, manipulation, extraction, and merging skills, with working knowledge of SQL and database management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including end-user training experience, with strong self-management and organizational skills.
• Availability to work in the Toronto office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with insurance Program Policy renewals and Broker Management Systems, particularly Velocity.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
