Accounting Specialist (AI)

What you will do

• Support accounts payable, including invoice entry, approval workflows, vendor payments, and accurate vendor records.
• Administer travel and expense activities in Navan, enforce policies, and reconcile related liability accounts.
• Manage cash activity, bank statement uploads, cash matching, and bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end close through journal entries and account reconciliations for accounts payable and cash.
• Partner with Engineering, Sales, FP&A, and People Ops on expense classification and invoice processing.
• Support cash forecasting, internal controls, audits, compliance, automation opportunities, and accounting system improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of general accounting experience, preferably in the software or technology industry.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP S/4Hana Cloud, Campfire, or Rillet, and procure-to-pay systems such as Bill.com or Ramp.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIF, with comfort using cloud-based financial tools.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-entity or international operations.
• CPA or CPA-track status.
• Experience with financial automation or ERP optimization projects.
• SaaS experience.
• Experience with monthly balance sheet and income statement flux analysis.
• Experience with T&E systems such as Navan, Expensify, or Concur.
